Application of nanometer aerogel blanket in pipeline
1. Low thermal conductivity
Nano aerogel felt has low thermal conductivity which is not comparable with other traditional thermal insulation data. At 300℃, the thermal conductivity of the data is only 0.024w /(mK), which is much lower than other data.Under equal conditions, the insulation thickness is only 1/4 to 1/5 of the traditional data, which can greatly reduce the thickness of the insulation layer. When applied to the steam pipe directly buried, the pipe size can be reduced, and the cost of jacket pipe, transportation and construction can be reduced.
2. Low heat loss and high energy saving rate
Under the same condition of surface temperature, the thickness of aerogel insulation layer decreases, the heat dissipation area decreases significantly, and the heat dissipation loss of pipelines decreases, greatly reducing the temperature drop and pressure drop of long-distance steam pipelines, and effectively reducing the loss of energy consumption.
3. Good water resistance
Aerogel insulation blanket hydrophobic rate ≥99%, no special waterproof method, in rainy or wet conditions can still be applied.But the traditional insulation material is not completely waterproof, the demand rated waterproof method.
4. Resistance to pressure and tension
The nano aerogel blanket has the compressive strength ≥100KPa under 10% deformation and good resilience, which can make the load of outer casing completely.However, the traditional insulation data structure is lax, the shrinkage deformation is large, the resilience is poor, the thermal conductivity increases significantly after the shrinkage.The application of nanometer aerogel blanket can prevent the influence of some non-controlling factors in the construction process.
5. Service life
